This page will collect non-academic materials: short reflections, images, outdoor notes, creative fragments, and other things that do not belong neatly under research, teaching, or publications.

Arizona changed my relationship to landscape. After Istanbul and Paris, the desert, mountains, canyons, and open sky of the Southwest opened another way of thinking about movement, place, body, and attention.

I am also interested in creative writing and in the work of Italo Calvino and Oğuz Atay.
